To be honest, these seem rather more snapshots than anything else. Kudos for using your camera in manual, but why ISO 1600 and 1/200SS? There's no significant movement that couldn't have been handled by a 1/60 exposure, which would have brought your ISO down to a more appropriate 400. Try and avoid centering your subjects quite so much, and get down to their eye-level. The monochrome conversions seem rather mid-tone rich and lacking contrast, and always be mindful of background distractions such as the tree "growing" out of the child's head in #2.

Hey, don't sell yourself short. Your $00.02 is worth at least a dollar to me. You know, it's amazing how one can forget even the most basic of setting such as the ISO. I don"t know why I had it so high, I just didn't even think about it. I have to remember to do like a mental checklist before taking any shot.
on a side note, that child was born with a tree growing out of his head, poor kid..... coincidentally his name is Branch
