Cable release for nikon D300S

just recieved my new camera. The remote shutter release i have for my D50 does not work with the D300s.

Is the Nikon MC-30 Remote Cable release a decent cable to get?

Any suggestions on this or a better one?

Would like to keep the price around $100.00

Around $100? I thought these things went for a lot cheaper. What is the difference in them? What makes a good one, good? And vice versa?

A simple cable release is not expensive. But there are ones that do interval and other tricks. Just wondering if they are worth the added expense?

They are if you use the features. If you won't, get a radio trigger instead.
