California Sea Lions & Seals

[TonyBritton]

A few of my favorite California sea lion black & white conversions. Like the majority of my bird photos, I absolutely love the effect side-lighting has on an image. All wild, hand-held, no cropping.

Nice set like the last one the best because its eyes are open

Yeah, all good, but #6 wins to my eye. Open eyes and really cool whiskers.

Love 'em. Central Coast? Sea Lions are great... like a big ol' dog. Is that a peninsuliua in the background of #3?

Avila ... Guadalupe?

[TonyBritton]

Thanks, everyone. Number 3 features the Pacific Grove, California coastline. Beautiful area!

Very nice, can you hug them?

[BrentC]

I think you must be an animal whisperer. It's amazing how close you get especially the birds.

Very nice, can you hug them?

Sure if you like to be minus a Sea Lion jaw sized piece of flesh. (To add insult to injury, it is illegal to mess with a marine mammal.)

Oh, so they bite... Hey, I'm a city boy... We don't have seals at our beach... Just garbage, and flying rodents.

No. Signs are clearly posted "Please don't feed or hug the marine mammals!"
