I am trying to figure out what the colorful box-looking thing is, but the narrow DOF on the window plane and the window edge in the bottom right are bothering me.

I see you are a fellow Houstonian though, so I better not berate the shot too much. :greenpbl:

Doesn't do much for me really... nothing seems to be in focus and I'm not sure if I want to concentrate on the drops or the colored thing.

Yes, the picture was intentional
I was sitting on a plane and the whether was nasty and I saw all the guys working outside loading up the luggage. I was like " You don't want to be outside" . Hence the shot. I hope you guys realized that I was shooting out of a window The color things are people working outside, airport worket tend to wear bright coat so they don't get hit by planes

I really like it. I have had a condensed-windshield-and-waterdrops concept in my mind for three years now, including extensive notes on where, how and with what to shoot it...

Keep at it. I love the softness and dark-gray of the wing, I fly to Amsterdam from Berlin (and back) twice a week (so four planes a week minimum) and I see that all the time... except my wing-tips are KLM blue. I think it works a lot better than the first, because it is a recognizable shape and feature. There is something sad about the wing, I like it. I think if you print it, it should be small and intimate, maybe in a relatively complex matting and frame. Do a series!

It's abstract and out of focus. It's the workers outside putting the luggage onto the planes. Try to see if you can make it out now. I didn't want to make it too obvious but I think this is an overkill

Thanks for the comment, I appreciate. I fly back and forth from Texas to Connecticut twice a year, each with a couple of connecting fliight. One time, it was snowing and they had to de-iced the plane. It would have been a cool shot if I can get one as they the truck hose down my window or something like that. I didn't feel like breaking rules and turn my camera on ( the plane had already taxi to this area to get de-iced)....so I didn't get the shot .
