Calls and decoys?

So Im real interested in getting some shots of bobcats and maybe Mt. lions. I've done a little reading regarding how to attract the animals using calls and decoys. But curious to how or if anyone here has done this?

Check out FoxPro calls. They make the best electronic calls & decoys for predator hunting. I'd be kinda careful, and possibly armed, especially if you're planning on playing with critters as powerful as a mountain lion. When you're calling and decoying predators, they're coming in looking for a meal.

You may want to check into your state's game laws as well when it comes to using devices like this. Even though you're looking at photographing animals, it wouldn't hurt to make sure they're legal. Every state is different.

Thanks will look into it. I was definitely planning to carry. I was just wrorried about calling a bobcat and then a mt. lion showup.

Good luck. I would say that it is nearly impossible to call in a lion and bobcats are very difficult. You're better off finding an outfitter in the area and asking if you can tag along one day. Lions and bobcats are easy to get close to if you have a few good hounds. If you have other friends that would be interested in taking photos with you, you could probably split the cost of hiring a guide and get a whole day photos with lions.
