Can anyone guess what prism was used?

Anyone have any idea what prism was used for this music video? Doesn't seem like a typical triangular prism. Maybe a kaleidoscope style? Or was it just done in post?



I tried to make a mirrored one (shoot through the center of three mirrors taped together inwards) but the pieces I had were to short to work correctly so I am looking for some other options and ideas

I have a couple of multi image filters and the photos don't look like this. But it is comparing still images to video.

In the first minute there's one shot where either the girl changes dresses or the subject changes to a different girl which obviously isn't just a filter or prism.

Some of the images have that rainbow edge to them, which I've seen in 3D or lenticular images, etc. but it's not in all of them. So I don't know if this was done with a combination of some sort of filters and photoshopping or just edited in or what was done. There's a touch of redscale in at least one shot which to me doesn't look like redscale film so I'd guess that was digitally edited. I don't think this looks like it was done with just a prism or filter.

Has that Canon 16-35mm f/4-L IS USM look to it...

Post processing - no question in my mind since there is no consistency to the effect.

Im not very good with photoshop, any thoughts on how to create some layers to do this? Id guess make some copies, adjust the transparency and blend into each other?

i happened to think of the Edgerton center at MIT, they have all kinds of interesting stuff on their site, about lots of oddball effects, etc.

If you had an enlarger... but I think you've been doing larger format... you could stack a couple of negatives I suppose, but I've never tried that.
