Can you get AF with a Tamron 28-75 2.8 on a Sony A7ii? If so what adapter did you use? Did you have any other problems or good results? I have a Tamron 28-75 and want to buy a Sony A7ii and am wondering if I need to buy the kit lens with it or if I can successfully use my Tamron.

They made multiple versions of the 28-75. Does your version have a built in focus motor? Also which mount is the lens actually made for? Canon? Nikon? Etc..

It depends on the mount. To my knowledge the only full function adapters for Sony A7 are for Sony A-mount, Canon FE, and just recently for Nikon AF-S. Not sure if it will work with Nikon AF.

The Tamron lens has a Canon mount and has autofocus.
