Can you guess what this is? :| by Rangerman

It's a bird that isn't build for flying large distances. It is also not a bird of prey (wings are to short and round). No water fowl because they don't often have those pretty feathers just for display. It is definitely a male bird.

My guess: Pheasant?

I know we can't see the whole wing, but we can see the "wrist" joint on the bird. This joint is in the right top corner. This means the wing is not much longer than we can see and that it is very round. This means that the length of the wing is equal or almost equal to the width.
This wing shape is not meant for flying great distances like a wing of a gull of not the wing of a bird of prey which have to have speed. It's most likely a ground dwelling bird or a bird mostly found in dense forests.

Thus my guess: Pheasant??

I thought it was this

I see what you mean now pmsnel...good thing you're not blind like me...

You take some awesome pictures for a blind guy! Good thing you don't let your handicap handicap you!
(have a small bird interest problem... But small. I still don't feel the urge to dress in green and hide behind a bush all day!)

But beside discussing our handicaps, we still don't know the answer!
