I really wish I had gotten a pic last week when a battling female and male fell to the ground with the female sitting on top and the male’s wings were outstretched. I thought he was injured, but they both flew off.

Thank all! I’m sad that the hummingbirds will be leaving soon to migrate home for the winter. They’ve become one of my favorite things to watch! I’ll miss them. I know that we have some birds that hang around all winter. I’ll have to get a seed feeder and see who shows up. I’m not becoming a birder she said to herself quite forcefully!
