So I recently became a student and now I can get cs6 for 249 dollars. I was wondering does adobe ship from canada. Not just to canada but from canada. I really don't want to pay customs and brokerage for it.

I really like having the disc - just in case.

So you just re download it. The demo that is available for download is actually the full version when you launch it it sakes if you want to register it or use it as a demo.

well how many computers can you install it on. With the disc you can have all your computers with cs6 as long as you stay offline. I think its wrong to limit how many computers I can use a product that I paid for on.

The licence is for one laptop and one desktop. I believe that even with the disk CS6 requires an internet connection.

How is if wrong to limit the number of computers, you did NOT pay for unlimited installs of the software.

Unless they changed it for CS 6 Extended Student Edition, the Student Edition EULA only provides for use on a single computer. (Adobe hides their Student Edition EULAs so well on their web site, I couldn't find it)

The retail version EULA provides for 2 computers, which can be 2 desktop computers.

2.1.3 Portable or Home Computer Use. Subject to the restrictions set forth in Section 2.1.4, the primary user of the Computer on which the Software is installed under Section 2.1 (“Primary User”)
may install a second copy of the Software for his or her exclusive use on either a portable Computer

Computer is not used at the same time as the Software on the primary Computer.

Adobe provides for installation on multiple computers. See their Business section.

Well put it this way. When you pay for a movie, do you think it's fair to force you to only watch it on 1 t.v? In the past you could install everything except for anti virus software on unlimited computers. Also what happens if your comp breaks and you buy a new one? do you have to buy another copy of CS6 if you didn't have the opportunity to uninstall it from the previous computer?

Analogy does not match

They let you re install it on the new computer, its quite simple.

Not quite sure where you get this idea, software with few exceptions has always had end user limitations, especially from the big companies.

If your computer dies, you call the customer service number for the software company and they will deactivate the software for the computer it was downloaded on so you can put it on the new computer. I recently had to do that with several programs when I had a computer literally go up in smoke. It's a hassle to call, but it gets you back to work.
