didn't want to temp fate of him flying off as I changed settings, so I just flashed and shot - close distance so flash was able to bring up the lighting a lot.

A little robin that broke into the butterfly exhibition and was posing round the place (And doing quite a bit of singing too)

not too pleased with this shot - it came out with a lot more noise than I would have liked, probably as I was using flash on whites rather than a longer exposure on a tripod so to prevent blowout I had to shoot with a lower power.
 
how can you lot not like robins ? ;)
 
This is the first time I see the thread on this little "cananga" ... erm ... ROBIN, of course, one of my favourite birds, I like them a lot! :D You were lucky to be able to get this close, though I believe that when they get into the butterfly exhibition, they're kind of used to flying about in amongst the visitors!?
