Candle and Crucifix

I took this at a wedding last Saturday.

Canon 350D, Canon 28-200mm EF USM Lens, ISO 1600, f 4.5, 1/50, focal length 50mm, no flash.

What do you guys think?

Why ISO 1600? was it that dark? the background is allmost too much out of focus and noisy, no pro myself but in some way my eyes are drawn to the background.

I like the composition and the DOF, but as jonasr sort of said, it could probably have benefited by being exposed a bit less. This kind of image is best served dark, imho.

ISO 1600? I didn't want to use a flash, I wanted to capture it in natural light. It was inside the church and it was quite dark. I could have used my 50mm f 1/8 lens to blur the background more.
