there is always the 70-200 f4. Not a night lens, but then you don't sound like you need fast glass for low light. The 70-200 is just an all around great lens in terms of quality and usability.

Also have this lens and it IS (no pun) my favorite lens. That said, it's too short for what I shoot most, but still my flava fav!

70-200 f4 is cheaper? I googled it and it is way cheaper. Thing is low light. What if I want to take a photo in evening or something, then f4 is not that good... :/

For low light yes. IS only helps with keeping the cameras steady at slower shutter speeds with static subjects. It does not help with moving subjects.

Okay, I have delay...
For outdoor sports, is it better 85mm 1.8, 100mm f2.8L or 200mm 2.8... What do you think?

You probably need to think about the distance you are going to be from the subjects.
BTW, I used the 100m 2.8. IS lens yesterday shooting birds. I had no issue with autofocus, but OMG, the birds were so small in the frame the crops were not worth posting. Dogs should not be an issue at all, but I will still give it a go at some point.

JaccaRanda What Camera you used? I have a 700D and I was pretty far far away and it had that zoom effect so it looked like dog is very close... Oh and yes, I can be on any distance, dog sports are usually outside on football field and I can be close and far.. That is last thing I'm thinking about.. I just need fast focus lens.. That would be 70-200?

I use the 7D mII, also a crop factor of 1.6. If you have access to be as close as you want, then you will not have any problems at all using the lens IMO.
Again, birds are sooooooo teeny tiny at 100mm.
