Canon 24-105mm F/4L

Just order my new lens, after being worry wich lens to buy i

chose this one canon 24-105mm F/4L my second option was 24-70mm F/2.8L

I hope i get better quality than the kit lens

Did you want the extra zoom as aposed the the wider Apertures?

I would have gone for 24-70mm.. thats just me. I see used 24-105 a lot on Craigslist because people buy them as part of a bundle. I saw one went for $750.

Great! I chose that over 24-70 also. I have 16-35 2.8L and 70-200 2.8L and im not missing much in between that so 24-105 works just fine between 35-70 if I need it. I have the ISO on my side and of course there's the bounce flash. Its a very sharp lens. Love it!

Shot with both and usually spent more time with the 24-105L with primes when the light went down. I ended up selling my cousin the 24-70L.

Fast forward a few years. I was selling my entire Canon system. That same cousin asked if he could trade the ol 24-70L for my 24-105L. I said sure and ended taking back my 24-70L and selling it off on Ebay. He's a whole lot happier.... more usable range, great IQ, and lighter in weight.

Both are great... just different purposes. One of the reasons why you see the 24-105L on ebay and such is because people think of max aperture as an indicator of IQ rather than actually doing research. Kinda like horsepower for cars...
