Canon 35mm Film Camera Help with Zoom Lens

Hello,

I have a Canon EOS Rebel Gii and a Canon EOS Elan. Both are 35mm film cameras. I have a 35-80 lens that came with the Rebel. About one year ago a camera shop sold me a Tamron 18-200mm zoom lens. After many issues I learned that this lens is not made for the old style 35mm cameras. I would like to get a better lens than what I have, and I think I would like a zoom lens.

On eBay I came across a brand called Quantaray that supposedly will work with my old Canon film cameras. Could I ask please if Quantaray is a good product? Are there other brands I should search for?

Quantarary never made lenses they get third party lens manufacturer to label them ... don't remember who made most of these lenses.
In this day and age I would stick to actual Canon EF lenses ... though I have never had an EOS Canon, only FD mount ones.

I say stick with Canon lenses. That's all I use on my EOS A2E.
