Canon 430ex II Flash

Hello Everyone,
I just got a Canon 430ex II flash for Christmas! It's my first flash and I'm super excited. I've got a canon eos 300 (film) which I know it will work on and then I've got a canon powershot sx20is. My question is, will the flash work with the powershot? I've read that some canon flashes can't be used on certain cameras because it can mess the flash or the camera up. I definitely don't want to mess it up. Anxious to learn how to use my flash. May just begin to take film pictures if it won't work with my powershot!

I'm pretty sure you can. At least you can with the SX40. Check your manual.

Yes, the SX20IS is compatible with all EX series flash units.
