I'm recording my daughter's recital today and I want to know if there's any way to put the entire screen/picture in focus instead of only being able to focus on an object and having the rest blurred..

Shoot at a small aperture, f/11-22 is the only way. But you'll need a whole lot of light.

Thank you! I'll see if this works.

I am assuming this recital in indoors? Don't forget to crank the ISO to the max or you will have a totally in focus black screen.

Thanks guys, downloaded an app... I'm still a novice, can't figure out how to get a good picture unless I have it on the Av setting... Hope this works though!

Which camera body are you using, and do you have a flash?

60D and no external. Right now testing it with the current lighting, the f 22 is great, but I don't know if they're going to dim the lighting or not.. If it stays the way it is, it'll be perfect if no heads get in the way :)
