D800.. I love mine. It does require a little bit of getting used to... but it absolutely rocks! Better low light sensitivity too....

It is a large body... I can see women not liking it because of the size and weight.

I am already too invested in Nikon to consider anything else. Kinda like asking which brand of back hoe digs the best ditch? They both will more than do the job and it depends on which one handles the best for you. I just like the way Nikon stuff works.

Nikon cameras are generally good at taking pictures in low light and therefore they score higher on DxOMark chart as compared to Canon cameras. D800E is perhaps the best one around for taking very high ISO shots. Surprisingly, Nikon cameras beat even Hasselblade and Phase One in laboratory tests. I think the high weightage given to low light criteria by DxOMark needs to be reviewed by them.

For me, the Canon, but it's simply because I'm currently loaded with Canon lenses and associated gear, so I'm basically already deeply bought into and invested in the Canon system as a whole.

If I hit the lottery, I'd likely get set up with current Nikon digital gear as well because I'd love to have the best of both worlds, but I won't be holding my breath on that. My current Nikon cameras and gear are all from the 60's film days when I started out.
