Canon 80D, pros and cons?

I'm finally giving up my film Canon Rebel 2000 camera and moving forward with a new DSLR. I've pretty much narrowed it down to the Canon 80D. But before putting out the cash for it, I'd like to hear some of your opinions of this model. I want to make sure I know what I'm getting myself into. I don't want to have buyers remorse.

You will have buyer's remorse no matter what you buy. Suppress that feeling by going out to take pictures.

I love my 70D never had any remorse.

Sit on it ( your money) for a while after deciding, and make sure there is a return policyvif you need security.

If you compare the specs for these two cameras, I don't see how you would feel remorse.

I do realize that it is a major upgrade from what I'm used to. I guess I just want to be be fair warned of any cons that I might run into.

yeah, be forewarned that new models will inevitably be "better"
and that model is not "full frame" nor is it mirrorless

From what I read the 80D is a good camera, nothing wrong with it, actually I think I would prefer it over the 7D II

right but coming from an older Rebel the 80D or even 7D2 is a nice upgrade

Yes, that's very true, that's why I said I would do this but that's my look of things, the 80D and 7D II are good crop sensor cameras, very modern and offer top notch performance and are comparable in many ways to all other crop sensor cameras in the market today.
I like the 80D more then the 7D II, the sensor is more modern and more resolution, also the 7D II AF system from what I heard is very finiky and complex for general shooting while the 80D is just a solid camera.
