Hi,
Today someone upon hearing of my interest in photography brought in some gear for me to have a look at. I said i'd be interested in looking however I dont know a great lot about film cameras or anything the sort, in fact i'm fully digital. Effectively, i'm out of my element.
It's practicly a whole bag of things, I don't know where to start. It all appears in good nick, lenses in original boxes, camera in original box etc, caps the lot. The problem is I don't know what i'm looking at. What I think i saw in this lot (sorry for the lack of detail) :
An FD macro 2.8 (50mm I think?)
Zoom lens FD 100-300mm 5.6
FD 70-210mm (?) f/4
The A-1 body
A detatchable viewfinder thingy
Power winder, motor drive thing I think.
All manuals etc.
So, is there any way of telling if this is in working condition? Can I whack batteries in it and see if it works, (without having to buy film)? What should I look at? (Sorry for the lack of images) It's all a bit dusty, however clearly looked after.
So, whatcha think? good investment? How much do you reckon would be a goof offer? Any oppinions are greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Holly.
