Canon AE1 lenses wont mount

I took the lens off my canon AE1 and not only is it is not going back on but neither is any of my other lenses for it. They seem to be getting caught on the diaphgram control lever, which wont budge. Is it
supposed to move? Im no expert but it seems like thats supposed to move to the bottom to allow the lens back on. Any help would be much appreciated!

Is the stop-down lever still engaged or stuck?

The diaphragm lever normally won't move unless the lens is mounted.

With New FD lenses it's possible to get the mount internally twisted so it won't mount on the camera. Rotating it back so the two red dots line up fixes that.

Are your lenses New FD type bayonet or the older FD with breech ring?
