Canon BP-900 battery series voltage range?

Does anyone know what the voltage range for the Canon pro camcorder batteries are? Specifically ones like the BP-955 or BP-975?

They state they output at 7.4V, but that's it, it doesn't say the max and min voltages like some Sony batteries do. Can I assume the max is 8.4v like other 7.4 V batteries?

I would say yes. Two cell lithium ion batteries are 7.4 volts. A higher voltage is required to charge them, and 8.4 volts is their normal recharge voltage.
