Canon EOS Digital Rebel T3

I guess my first question would be where did you find this? If it was Craigslist, bring back up with you. Preferably someone big and burly. If it's legit, it's a great deal and a camera that will serve you well for some time to come.

See if one of the batteries can be charged or you take one, take a few shots and see how the images come out before buying. Ask why wasn't it ever opened? They'll need to open it for you.

Okay so then...
T1i for the 350, (Assuming it's completely legit)
or wait, and save up for the T2i. (700-800).
Opinions? Thoughts?

I guess the more I think about it, the more uncomfortable I feel about it. The T1i wasn't replaced that long ago, so I guess I'm finding it hard to see NIB for that price. Plus the extras that add a couple bucks. If it's me and I've got a newly discontinued cam, NIB, I'm selling it for fair market value if I'm trying to raise money for an upgrade. I figure that's gotta be give or take the $600 range. I'm too lazy to look on e-bay, so that's only a guess.

Plus, if it drains your bank account, and you have to find a little additional money, you don't need the camera right now. Ask my 19 year old what happens when you drain your savings account to buy a much more expensive, but admittedly cooler shot gun, than you really need, and total your car six weeks later...

actually there are quite a few key differences b/t the t3 and t2i, some being a MUCH better quality LCD screen, 1080P recording, slightly better feel...

i was talking about the t3i and t2i

the t3 doesn't even have an articulated screen

If t1i has everything you need, then go for it. If not, I say save some money and get a t2i or t3i.

On my video camera i could not live without the articulated viewfinder. I have used both and find it so much easier. Do not really have a use for it on my camera as i mostly always use the view finder sorta hate the live view function. but to each their own

canon only lets you use live view in video on any rebel camera

Actually I've had a bit in my savings account for quite a while,
just didn't want to spend any of it (I still don't haha.)
I was just wondering if this T1i was such a good deal I just couldn't pass it up.
