Not an official notification, but a user view based on their reported experience with Canon UK.

Seems the lens hasn't been in production for years and its support might be becoming more limited/restricted. It's still for sale new on highstreet shops, however news like this might well push some sales and might be worth hunting down a copy if you've got your eye on one.

No mention of a replacement - however if its not been produced for 12 years and stocks haven't sold out it might be just a touch too specialist to warrant a new release (esp considering that the twinflash is likely a companion product and would be released alongside as a new version of that)
