Just goofing around on the canon site looking at the 500mm they have a sample foto...

The panning is horrible, it's underexposed...and...well...it just sucks basically.

F4 on 500mm is the standard with most lens maker

Oh yeah it is for a cool $5k5. I'd love to be able to make that baby earn for me.
I love the spec "focuses down to 15feet", I think the 600mm is 18feet.
