Canon "Studio Solutions"

I was at the Canon site and saw this software.

I have not seen it before and was somewhat surprised at the cost. $1499

Is anyone familar with this product?

Never used it, but after a quick search it looks like DPP bundled with Excel...

It might be useful if you're running a studio and want everything accessible from one program (payroll, invoices, PP, etc...), but for the hobbyist I don't see any point of getting it.

What really drew my attention was the price...

Yeah - seems high if DPP is all it has for an image processor.

That ships free with ever dSLR Canon sells.

It looks like the main selling point of it is that it's everything you need to run a studio - all in one neat package.
