Car engine total loss...have a question

Car has new tires if I take it to junkyard or scrapyard will they take it without tires ? Don't want to lose them maybe sell them.

Toyota Camry 98 pretty good condition new brakes and tires. Not certain but looks like it is.

New update!! After much thought and talking with sis. We remembered that the mechanic we take it to, now has a used car lot I believe American made cars. Also now I am thinking of repairing it. He mentioned getting a used engine. It will be towed tomorrow to the mechanic and keeping fingers crossed. Hopefully he can fix it. Wish me luck guys!!! I need that car,....arrrrrrrr oh and yea maybe trade it in. He will let me make payments.

Swapping like for like is a matter of changing fluids, a few plugs and a couple bolts.

Yeah, but while it's out, might as well bolt on a Roots blower, NO2 kit, high-performace cam kit... you know, basic tune-up stuff!

personal opinion. chances are the miles are fairly high took, and it needs other work as well. Probably isn't worth working on. Even the tires, probably aren't worth the headache unless you have thousand dollar rims and tires on a thousand dollar car. Junkyards often will take off and sell used tires. Tires are up to you. If you are talking a minimal rebuild, know a mechanic, a few hundred bucks. okay, I can see fixing it if you have too. But realistically if I was in those shoes I would probably just junk the thing and go buy something else. I mean, its a fifteen or sixteen year old car. Might be time to go.
