Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
I just decided to get the 50mm 1.8.
These are some of the first shots I took with it. Do you care for either? The first one is cropped on the side. No editing to either picture.
please offer your c&c

Thanks! :D

I like the first one. I like that it's a combination of soft shadow light and speckled direct light. It makes for some interesting shades of the red. I'm not crazy about the composure. It just doesn't really grab me. It seems like there's a good bit of wasted space that doesn't seem to serve any purpose.

The second one just doesn't really grab me at all.

i cant see these either just like ladybugs pics

You were looking at that moon shot too long. ;)

The first shot looks out of focus to me and the color seems flat. Maybe up the saturation just a tad [maybe +2] and add a little contrast. Try color curves.

The second shot is underexposed and it gets lost in the background.

#1 - I think a little more DOF would have been nice...it's a little too thin for me as is. Background blur is pretty cool though. I think this would have been better if the flower took up more space in the frame.

#2 - Don't really care for this one...kind of a blotchy mess to my eyes...like there is no real subject.

oh i see them now!!!!!!:):)

The composition works ok. The light doesn't and Samanax covered the DOF issues.

i like the second picture better cuz of its unique style and the bokeh you ended up getting from the surroundings =)

Hey ! Thank you everyone for your input.

The 2nd photo, I wasn't even sure if it would work. I did a 'no-no' and shot that one directly into the sun. It looked better, IMO, on the camera's live view monitor. I do wish that it would have came out a little clearer.

Thanks again!

:hugs:
