Maybe that's it - I've noticed that I err on the side of lower contrast Something just isn't the same as in PS. Maybe I'm not saving it properly.

Do you have Lightroom? I strongly suggest using lightroom for editing photos. I rarely go into photoshop anymore unless I want to manipulate it.

LOL, I was just having this conversation the other day.

I hate LR. There, I said it.

I have tried, I can't tell you how many times, to at least like it. Maybe if I had the time to take a class and figure out the "right" way to use it I'd like it more, but I am happy with my PS workflow for the time being. Normally I don't have this issue with uploading, but then again I normally upload to Flickr, then post here. These were straight from my hard drive.

I completely understand. I remember the first time I got lightroom I absolutely hated it also. Quit using it for about 5 months and then came back to it and watched some tutorials, and now I couldn't imagine my photography life without it. Honestly

I like Lightroom because I can export the photo into PS from Lightroom, and it will automatically make a new copy in the catalog. Which is a good thing since I'm terrible about non-destructive editing. I resize photos in PS and then accidentally save over the large version all the time.

I like the feel of these, a lot. I don't have many more critiques than what's been given. But oh.my.word I LOOOOVE that dress. LOVE. Right up my alley. I'm not a fancy shmancy sparkly chick. This girl is my kinda girl. Any way you could find out where she got it? I've gone off topic here...

When you click them they're fine color wise.. that's why I usually use flickr to post.. those thumbnails always do crazy things.

I wish I had screen shot what I did.. I was only on LR3 on this PC I edited it on.. I'm usually in 5 and the controls are different but if I remember right.. I basically darkened the blacks, bumped some clarity like +10 maybe and added vibrance +24 to the image in LR. Actually.. durr.. let me open LR and it should still be there. lol Pre-morning coffee brain fart.

That could be because new versions of PS and Lightroom have gone to black or charcoal surrounds, which make the images look darker and richer than the basically almost pure white TPF background. OR, and this is possible, you are working in Adobe RGB, and seeing the images displayed as Adobe RGB images, but your browser is showing you sRGB, and that is a situation that happens a LOT. On the Windows side as I understand it, many browsers are color profile-unaware, and default everything to sRGB, so a lot of peoples' pics look dull and flat.

So.. you've given me that push to make something of my boho pins on pinterest.. just contacted the model I recently shot with, who would be perfect for this about shooting end of next month sometime for a boho inspired shoot. I am so excited!
