catchlights

the only way i know works is shotting outside.....with the sun un fron of the subject so the sun reflects off their eyes.

Im pretty sure you have one light (any more might make it look strange) directed at the subject (I dont feel like im helping much.....) so the light reflects off their eyes.

I googled it (and didnt come up with much and was to lazy to rephrase my search) and founf out that the light beeing in the 10 o'clock or 2o'clock position is the most flattering.

What type of catchlight are you looking for? Its just the reflection of your light source in your subjects eyes, typically some type of flash ore strobe. it all depends on the size and shape of your light source multiple sources can cause multiple catch lights which can be undesirable in some cases. Alternatively, you can fake them in Photoshop.
