Hi All,

I was all set up trying to get macro pics of these tiny wildflowers:

The problem I had was I could not isolate the individual flowers using a normal flash head. I wanted a flash that only lights up a single flower.

Soooooo...........

I had previously adapted a pringles can into a rather effective diffusor Diffusinator .

So the same Pringles can got another makeover. This time i needed a flexible / reflective snoot. Out comes the kitchen foil and tape:

What I found was that the foil can be bent into a very precise funnel for light. Depending on the "Inverse Square Law" I managed to get these:

Yup. I've used Cinefoil, foil, Pringle cans, foam board, hvac ductwork, etc. to fashion custom Snoots when needed. I also have some small LED gooseneck lights are useful in lighting small Dioramas, where you need multiple focused lighting.

Funny looking, but effective! Bravo!

I am surprised there is not a commercial flexible reflective snoot. I looked at the little LED gooseneck lights but never got round to buying them. Birthday coming up, I might buy them for my wife who does not do photography :greendevil:
