This is my first newborn session... And it's my son so no worries about unhappy clients :)

Okay, I'm not sure how I feel about the first one. I like it.. But I feel like there's something I should have done differently, just not sure what.

On the two with the green background, I love these two. I know the poses arent the sweet newborn poses people usually do, but I think they're perfect in a funny sweet way ;) however, I realize the green has added a tint of green to his body and I can not for the life of me figure out how to edit that. Suggestions?

Good question. I'm adding text in the space above him. His monthly milestones and such.

What is the point of shooting portrait on last 2 ?

Maybe it's the lighting in the first one? looks a little contrasty. Or maybe think about the vantage point, I don't know if moving a little might have given you a slightly different angle. I think it's a sweet photo of the baby sleeping.

The last two are a lot of green, I wondered too about the vertical framing. I find those look uncomfortable - the face looks almost contorted, maybe you caught an awkward moment/expression or it might be the positioning.

I'd rethink the posing and using small baskets. My background is as an Early Intervention Specialist so of course I look at it from that viewpoint. I'd make sure there's plenty of head and leg room. It might be the vantage point but it seems like the baby's head is somewhat downhill, too close to the edge of the basket, and barely fits in there.

I'd probably use different poses for clients... But for me and it being my son, I liked these because I think the awkward expressions are funny. Maybe I'm weird. But just ignore that because that would be different for a real client.

How do I get rid of the green tint on him?

On this one for me what the images mean for you in terms of memories etc would be worth far more than what critique you'll get but doing a double take the portrait ones are a bit off the first one is nice.

Maybe someone will be able to help with that, I don't do much post processing and haven't had to adjust for that. You could try asking maybe under Digital, or Graphics? to get some suggestions.

I can see if he's yours how the facial expressions could be amusing, I just couldn't help but find those rather uncomfortable looking and my inclination is to want to reposition. I don't know how the photos would come across to other people.

What program are you editing in? I use lightroom mainly so I can really only suggest from there but I would try an adjustment brush playing with the tint (and maybe temp) sliders selectively on the green portions.
