One thing that is difficult with sports photography is separating the background from the subject ... especially in smaller indoor areas.
Finding the right position (as the photographer) is the hardest part, and sometimes you have no choice ... even if you have to shoot from below or above.

You have the subject focus, and I do like the slight blurring on the ball.
I am waiting for that shot just before the palm contacts the ball.

Ah, with both the hand and ball ...

I do not shoot indoor sports, but possibly a flash may help in darkening the background ??

not sure a flash will work while shooting continuous 8FPS
