I just thought I would share my photos I took with a +4 Opteka diopter (I got a 67mm set free). I used my Nikon 50mm 1.8 and a 52mm-67mm step-up ring. Not to bad for a cheap setup. I know technically the images aren't special, but I was pretty impressed with the results from the diopter, since we all know cheap diopter sets can be a little....lacking.

As you can see she was getting a little cranky, so I had to stop short. I don't think it's a bad setup for now, looks like it might be a viable option for the time being. I know I wasn't expecting much out of them, so to see this made me kind of happy...especially for the price :thumbup:.

Here is one that I shot with a cheap set of Hoya dipoter filters.

And this one was, I think, shot by reverse mounting a 50mm lens onto a 35-105mm zoom.

Both were shot a long time ago, on film.

Not quite close enough to be Macro but good shots. I really like #2. good color and nice highlight in the eye. Besides, she's smiling!

I guess I wasn't sure where to post it >.< since diopters are kind of macroesque...I thought I would post it here. Perhaps under Wildlife next time

For the sake of keeping it macro related, I took another image :thumbup:.

Though I was cheating and used my Vivitar 100mm 3.5 .
