I kind of like shot #2's approach to this. The last shot is also good.

Great little model! I'm looking at this on quite a bright (uncalibrated monitor) and the cutting out of the subject from the background in the first image is really noticable, especially around her left shoulder and around her hair (always tricky). I can also see a noticeable halo around her arm. Like i said, it may be monitor throwing things a little.

I was having issues with Select and Mask. Very hard to complete the photo. Wanted to post it to see how it rendered. Also the dodge and burning shows much differently out of Ps.

I personally like the last. I do like the BG on the first, if it was done in real-life, not in post.

watch your focus, that image SOOC is mighty soft but luckily you could sharpen it up a bit.

If only I could do that background IRL! Someday maybe having the color pallete matching the headband. I wouldnt even know.

@Braineack I had some serious issues with shots being oof during this shoot. Luckily post could save this photo, this was just for fun while I was setting up and to test settings.

I was losing shots to focus during the main shoot as well, luckily I had enough keepers of the baby that I wasn't shot! That'll be another thread ya'll can pick apart my technique perhaps

I thought I liked the last one best but after looking at them for a while, I prefer the first one with the exception of the haloing noted above. The brightly colored background really makes her pop, IMO.

Those look great! My favorite is definitely the first one, but I do agree that it could use a little work on cleaning up the edges

I like the second one best. Most natural looking result and no fear of Shadows. In a studio setup like this we all tend to undo the shadows and make it look cleaner. My experience is that shadow in the right place adds mystery to the shot.

Nice pictures - #2 is my favorite.

Wondering what others think of the crop on her arms. Almost seems a bit to close to the elbows to me (except #3) to feel natural.
