Choosing a lens for my camera

Hello! I am new to DSLRs and I just got a Sony a100k. I am getting it with a 18-70mm lens, but I am looking to purchase a telephoto.
I am looking at these two below. I am leaning towards the first one because it's new and I found more reviews on it, but I would really appreciate some professional opinions from other people

Personally if I was getting a telephoto I'd have a look at the beer can. It's a bit old but in your price range and way closer to pro glass than what you're currently lookin at. I've considered a cheap Sony body myself just to be able to use this lens
