If you had to choose between a nikon D3200 and a nikon D90 which one would you choose and why?

Better low light performance
Better dynamic range
24mp vs 12mp
Assuming new D3200 vs used D90 so new vs used

Main advantage of D90 is its in body motor but frankly I still would go with the better and more modern D3200

Newer cameras have more features and better versions of existing features. The D3200 wins hands down over the D90.

Neither -- I'd wait and go with a D7xxx when I had the money.

I would rather have the D3200 I think. I personally think the 24-megapixel sensor generation of compact d-slr cameras that Nikon developed marked the start of the "new era" in digital imaging. Better dynamic range, a little bit better color, more image data to work with, and more cropping ability than what had come before.
