Christmas gift Accessory (~$100) for Noob

Hi guys. While I am buying a camera for my wife, I also need to get a Christmas gift for my assistant. She was kind enough to lend me her new T2i to try out. Anyhow, the only equipment she has besides the T2i with the standard 18-55mm lens is a 55-250mm lens, strap and case. Any ideas in the $100 price range would be greatly appreciated. 50mm f/1.8. Or go to amazon.com.. they have a lot of good stuff for cheap (reflector, monopod, etc.).

When i saw the title it came to my mind to suggest the canon 50 1.8. For $100.00 i don't seen many options...
