Guys,

I started to use a closeup filters but I'm having a problem with a pretty shallow depth of field. I was wondering if there is anything I can do to have a deeper depth of fieled?
I don't have a real closeup lens so I don't know if the real closeup lens has the same problem.

Thanks
Marek.

You have come up against one of the limitations of close-up photography - minimal depth of field approaches zero as you increase magnification/focus on closer objects. use manual focussing, close down the aperture as much as possible, use a tripod or other solid support and move the object or camera to focus on the area of interest.

Also closeup filters do not offer anywhere near the flexibility of a true macro lens. This is one of the prices one pays for cutting financial corners.

I do understand that not everyone can afford a high end macro, but thats just the physics of things.

stop your lens down to f/22 and see what happens.
