lovely scene. But it seems grainy, noisy. Is that just at this size? The left side is also a tad too dark for my taste, but again it might not be at a higher res.

Course, I'm not an expert. Would you like me to take back my opinions?

I love the dark side... i'd kep it that way. i liv the cntrast of the darkness over the water and clear sky over the beach.. i Actually find it quite skillfull, but people here like ''correctly exposed picture''

I like more suprising shots like yours...

Take the top, uninteresting, half of the shot off and you have a great photo.

It seems to been exceedingly grainy, and too dark for my taste. I also feel like there isn't a clearly defined subject. Yeah, it's a landscape, and the landscape is supposed to be the subject. But nothing in it leads my eye to any specific place. My eye just kind of wanders around for a bit, then gets bored and checks out. I think there's too much sky, and the composition could have benefited from a little more beach.

I used the de-noise adjustments in ACR (Adobe Camera Raw), a plug-in RAW converter/parametric image editor that is included with with Photoshop CS5.

They make de-noise software like Imagenomic's Noiseware Pro, Topaz de-noise, Noise Ninja, and many others.
