wow, i haven't been on the forum in a long while, but i love the first color shot, it's spectacular!

I like the original photo myself. I like the vast emptiness of the foreground, versus the busy sky. I just think it would look better if the horizon were straight. This type of scene really screams for an even wider angle lens, but it's tough to get super wide with the crop factor, and very costly to get much wider than your 18-55.

I hadnt ever thought of tilting my camera to be more portrait like instead of landscape. Thanks for that!
