Cloudy sky landscape

Lots of rains lately. While being pretty darned wet it also brings very cool skies.

I like the way the stairs and road pulls my eyes into the frame. The dark skies in the middle seem a little unnatural, but that might be my monitor. Nice shot.

Those skies in the middle actually were really dark.
It's some sort of cloud-ribbon containing a good deal of rain (for short but heavy showers). If you look well you can see it's actually raining far in the background at the end of that ribbon.

I thought the same thing. Judobreaker thought this out well. The scene is shot on the side of the hill with the stairs there to lead the eye. I wouldn't have thought of this, in my own ignorance I would have went higher up the hill for more of a "view" but this composition is wonderful. Bravo.

Yes, my first idea was the same. There's a tower right on top of the hill on which I tried some stuff first but nothing really happened in the shots.
While walking around for a little around the tower I noticed these stairs (I came up from the other side) and tried taking a shot while standing on them. The stairs weren't quite working coming from the bottom of the frame so I decided to take a step or 3 into the grass which worked out great.
