Interesting image. Looks like it was a "dull day" at the tracks as well. Have you thought of rendering this in black and white? There is such a limited range of colour that it might look good in B&W.

Thanks @WesternGuy!

I actually processed it in both ways. What do you think of the B&W version/processing?

I actually think I like the B&W one better. I don't know how you converted it, but I might increase the global contrast just a bit, a very little bit. Good work!

Thanks! I'll try that and see how it looks!

Just curious, how did you convert it?

Yup, this.^^

why did you take a 30 second exposure here?

That is beautiful! Excellent Shot!!!

like the black and white, though, maybe a color edit to change the mood might also look good, also, black and white is flat + contrast for the win. overall, nice work

Thanks for all the comments!

Updated with a bit more contrast.. comments?

Increased: exposure, whites
Decreased: contrast, highlights, shadows, blacks, clarity
Slight changes to the tone curve, reduced red and magenta
General sharpening and noise reduction

It was about 5:30/6:00 PM and my camera 'doesn't do' low light/high ISO.

Thanks!

That makes no sense, you shot at f22! If you had shot at f8 you'd be able to use a faster shutter and I'm sure your camera can go iso 800 at least.

Thanks. With a Canon Rebel XSI/450D, I dislike going above ISO-400. I could have increased my ISO instead of staying at 100, which could have helped. I took it at f/14 originally, but it wasn't doing it for me. haha.

Explain please, and I'm wanting to understand so I can help, why you didn't use f8 or f5.6

What's your reasoning?

Thanks, and I appreciate it. Please let me know what you think.

I checked my DOF calculator. With my 50 mm prime and a crop sensor, my focal point was about 10-15 feet in front of the camera. My DOF calculator says that my focal distance would be between 10 and 28 feet. I wanted the tracks in the distance in focus, along with the tracks near the camera. Thus, I needed a smaller aperture based on my DOF calculator.
