Color Accent C&C

Okay, I know that this effect is really really cliché but I haven't taken any photos with actual color accents so I thought I might give it a try. I only tried it out with a couple of photos so far, and this is my favourite one. Any comments and critique on how this photo can be improved?

Kind of a boring subject. I get the tie in with the paint and all, but could it have been anymore boring of a scene? I would have rather seen you up close with a wide angle and maybe just selectively color the paint marks and brush. Then you wouldn't get all the clutter in the background.

Nice, dramatic sky.. but yeah, it's pretty dull otherwise.
