Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
I am a beginner DSLR user. Nikon D5000
I have a basic knowledge of Aperture and Shutter speed; but regardless of my settings, even on auto- I have a red cast to all my photos. I can't get any good shots with correct color? Is it me? Is it my camera?

Any help will be much appreciated!

Are these shots indoors under incandescent lights? Such lights produce an orangeish color cast.

Whhhhhhiiiiiittee balance.

always indoor (any type of lighting: florescent, incandescent etc.). outdoor is much better. someone mentioned white balance: I have played with that as well and have had no success. I don't feel comfortable putting a link to my personal blog which is my only url with photos. any other way to attach/send photos for the forum?

Hi Maggie,

Set up a free account on something like Photobucket or Flickr. You can upload photos there and then post them here in the forum. With a photo to see and detailed info about your camera folks here can help. Sounds very much like you're having a white balance problem.

Joe
