Color/Focus check

After gsgary's reply to my last thread, I decided to go back and take another close look at a few recent shots that I'd tried shooting wide open...to check them for clarity.

Here's one of my baby from last week... The finger chop here is an obvious problem (again with the stepping back), but that aside, I'm looking specifically for CC on whether this is in focus and if the color looks alright? Any other CC is greatly appreciated =)
