color or bw?

I'm going to buck the trend and say that I lean toward the color version. I do like them both, and I can see either of them (some minor issues aside) being appropriate for whatever end usage is desired.

In the color version, I think the redish-orange is very complimentary to the other colors in the shot - her skin, her hair, and the floor. I think it might have worked better had the curtain extended all the way to the left of the frame, but the lighting on her face is such that it stands out very well from the subdued color of the curtain.

The reason I'm docking the B&W version a couple points is that the brightest parts are her socks, then the white stripes on her underwear (bottoms and bra). The sock on her left (near) foot appears particularly bright due to it being against the dark ottoman. Hence my eye is drawn away from her face. In the color version the socks are just enough off-white to not appear as distractingly bright (and the splash of color of the curtain helps draw my eye to the top of the shot), so my eye goes more naturally to her face.

Also, It looks orange, maybe red depending on your computer screen... But, On my Asus screen it's more of an orange then a red.

The black and white really lends to the subject and compliments her as opposed to the colour, where lots of areas in the image distract me

I like the BW finish as the orange dominates a bit too much. Nice images!
