Columbine C&C

So I took this one on a hike up in La Veta, Colorado. The Spanish Peaks area is a really beautiful and romantic landscape, and there was a lot to photograph. Fun trip!

I slightly edited this shot just now. I increased the saturation and contrast, and dimmed the highlights a bit. The thread "Anyone Else Not So Crazy About Photoshop" got me thinking that I should give it a try, so I did. Here it is.

Very beautiful flower. If it were me I would have used a more shallow DOF to blur the background more. The branch in the background is pretty distracting & takes away from the flowers. Keep shooting!

The flowers are beautiful, but I do agree with the branch comment. Maybe a closer zoom or a different angle to get rid of it completely?

Thanks for the replies everyone! Yes, the flowers are Columbines, that's why the title says "Columbine C&C". Not Columbine, Colorado, it was La Veta, CO. I see what y'all mean about the branch. Better luck next time. Bitter, yeah I was kinda sad about that, but I have some other shots too that might be in better focus, I'll check. I don't think it's too bad though.
