Turns out I had settled for the Rebel XS instead.

I actually got the camera last black Friday, and I cant beleive it has almost been a year since I've posted on here. x_x

Congrats on the camera.

Now that you have the physical tool, time to start reading on the basics of photography to learn how to use it. Google is great, Understanding Exposure by Bryan Peterson is also great. Read up on composition with rules of thirds, symetry, triangles and so on... and maybe check out some car photographer portfolios to get ideas on how to make car shots interesting as this seems to be something you enjoy.
