Coming in for a landing

We took a drive up the River Rd along the Mississippi near St. Louis looking for eagles. Brought binoculars to watch. But, no luck. There were lots of people out looking with the appropriate bird lenses. We did find a bunch of these fellows. I was taking test video & photos with my new compact, the Sony RX100iv.

Probably my one and only BIF. I have a new appreciation for the bird photographers on here. My husband asked if I was going to get an eagle photo. I said sure if it landed 10 feet in front of me!
